A little more progress over the last fortnight. I just have a couple of my regulars working on the balustrades and wiring the balustrades. It looks SO much better to remove the plywood boarding around the "house deck". Meanwhile we approacing the completion of the landscaping features with the build of the balustrade. I am pleased with the detail we came up with to hover a piece of flat steel over the balustrade of the "boat deck", which is already being called the "Titanic".

Phil from the Astronomy Club rung me at 9 pm on 12 Nov and said there was a severe solar storm underway, and so I grabbed the DSLR and headed to find a dark spot on the South side of Tamworth and sat my camera on the car bonnet, due to the fact that I could not find my tripod at such short notice. But as it turned out the effect was quite nice don't you think?

A minor milestone, the house is now wrapped in sarking. Sarking is a secondary moisture barrier between the cladding and frame. We have also attached the battens, ready for the cladding.
