At last, a bit of scaffold erected..
Well my happy blog followers, after a slow start to the year, finally some progress! Yesterday the scaffold was erected along the back wall in preparation for some long planned roofing. The only problem is that we do not yet have a roofer! It appears they are all very busy, with several large commercial projects in the area. Just as well I do not have a deadline.
Apart from the scaffold there has been additional work on the ground. The low retaining walls along the paths have been finished and core filled with concrete. The bridge (from the house deck to the middle foot path) footings have been done. Aprons around the shed and house are completed. Only the final large apron between house and shed is still to be done, which will not be done until much later in the project.
I took a few drone shots and made the mistake of taking Tiny up to the block with me. The drone annoyed her no end, chasing and barking at it wherever it went. It was somewhat tricky to land the drone with one hand on the controls while restraining Tiny with the other who dearly wished to sink her fangs into the expensive device as it descended.
We have also been tidying the site, moving everything that does not need to be on the house shelf back to our storage compound at the rear of the block.
By the way, there is only one more shopping day before my birthday! Express parcels might reach me in time, but if you would prefer to send cash, that will be fine. Alternatively you can make a donation to my building fund, as little as $100,000 would be helpful and I'll even put your name on a plaque. I may even invite you to the house warming. Contact me for bank details.
